Food Access & Nutrition Aid

Able Community is committed to ensuring every family has access to nutritious food and the support they need to thrive. Through our food access programs, community partnerships, and the FoodHC mobile app, we connect underserved families with the food resources available in their area.

How FoodHC Connects Families to Food Resources

The FoodHC mobile app by Able Community is designed to make finding food resiliency resources simple and accessible for families in need. With FoodHC, families can:

  • Locate nearby food pantries, food banks, and distribution events
  • Find grocery assistance programs and SNAP enrollment support
  • Access real-time information about available food resources in their area
  • Connect with volunteer opportunities and donation drives

No family should face hunger alone. FoodHC is free to use and available to all community members.

Our Food Distribution Programs

Able Community works alongside local food banks, churches, schools, and nonprofit partners to coordinate food distribution events across our communities. Our programs focus on:

  • Emergency Food Assistance — Providing immediate food support for families facing crisis situations
  • Regular Food Distribution Events — Scheduled community events where families can collect fresh produce, canned goods, and essential nutrition items
  • Nutrition Education — Sharing information about healthy eating habits and making the most of available food resources
  • Partner Food Bank Referrals — Connecting families directly with established food banks and pantries in their neighborhood

Get Involved — Every Contribution Makes a Difference

Whether you want to volunteer, donate, or simply learn more about our food access programs, Able Community welcomes your support. Together, we can build stronger, more food-secure communities for every family.
